Silver Investing - Not all silver is created equal

When I shop around for silver on average I find some brand sell better then others. I know the term is out there "silver is silver is silver" meaning it's all the same. Then why do people pay more for some brands of silver. In 2011 the Royal Canadian Mint made a new 1 oz pure 9999 silver coin with a wolf on the front designed the same as their 2006 half oz. This new 1 oz coin will be a great investment because there will only be 1 million made. It will be a rare coin and will sell higher then the silver value of the day. To get your before they sell out click the link.

As Low as $1.99 per oz. over spot! The Royal Canadian Mint has placed a strict and and low mintage on these coins. With the unprecedented demand of these gorgeous .9999 fine silver coins in Europe and the rest of the world, these Timber Wolf coins will sell out very fast! The Canadian Timber Wolf coin is the first coin released in the Royal Canadian Mint's 3-year long "Canadian Wildlife Coin Series" program. The second coin is scheduled to be released in March 2011. The obverse of the coin bears Queen Elizabeth II with a $5.00 CAN face value. The reverse has a beautifully designed Canadian Timber Wolf, with the moon and night time mountain side landscape behind this majestic Canadian predator. Brilliant Uncirculated!

  2. Where did you buy the plastic casings for the 1 oz bars? I've been looking to buy some of those as most dealers send the silver in plastic bags / bubble wrap. Also, I've been interesting in purchasing a few 2011 Canadian Timber Wolf coins, but I'm seeing so many different prices out there. APMEX is selling them for $32.55. Westminster Mint is selling them for $30.52. Golden Eagle Coins is selling them for $32.26. Now I haven't gone through the order process to even know if the coins are still available or how much shipping is, but I just got a special offer through the Rifleman Magazine where Universal Coin & Bullion is selling them for $34 (free shipping). I've bought from Universal Coin & Bullion before and the coins come in a plastic casing. I'm not sure about the other dealers. Any thoughts / experience? Thanks!
